Global warming: Debate is over? What about Mars? Fall in line!

This past week was an interesting one for those of us who don't buy into the global warming hype.

First off, we hear that that the global warming debate is officially over, and the time to act is now!

Global warming debate over, time to act now: report

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Declaring the global warming debate over, an international team of scientists urged the world's nations on Tuesday to act now to keep climate change from becoming a catastrophe

What better way to silence those who may disagree than to unilateraly declare the debate settled and to plug one's ears and scream "I'm not listening. I'm not listening! La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la..."

Then we learn that Mars is concurrently suffering from Global Warming, too many martian driving SUVs I guess.
Mars Melt Hints at Solar, Not Human, Cause for Warming, Scientist Says
National Geographic News

Simultaneous warming on Earth and Mars suggests that our planet's recent climate changes have a natural—and not a human- induced—cause, according to one scientist's controversial theory.

...

In 2005 data from NASA's Mars Global Surveyor and Odyssey missions revealed that the carbon dioxide "ice caps" near Mars's south pole had been diminishing for three summers in a row.

Habibullo Abdussamatov, head of the St. Petersburg's Pulkovo Astronomical Observatory in Russia, says the Mars data is evidence that the current global warming on Earth is being caused by changes in the sun.

"The long-term increase in solar irradiance is heating both Earth and Mars," he said.

And finally, the Patron Saint of Global Warming, Al Gore, lectured the media on their biased "balanced" approach, citing their failure to report the "concensus". One blogger points out:
He’s telling the media they have to stop asking questions or reporting dissenting views and simply fall in line.

There is no doubt about it, this has been an interesting week to read about global warming. Why not read some more about global warming?
